I saw a picture of a sweater with the Letterboxes pattern in a fashion magazine. Kaffe Fassett designed it for - I think - Peruvian Connection. I startet the project but then it rested for a while in my UFO box. When the book ‘Pattern Library’ emerged, I saw the pictures of the pattern and then continued my project.

I started with the body sideways and made a provisional cast-on. I added the sleeves afterwards.
With the experiences I made while knitting I would have constructed the cardigan in another way. I had some difficulties with the shoulder-design.
But nevertheless: it was much fun to knit and I gained a lot of knowledge. I now have another method for the weaving-in of yarn ends which does not produce zigzag-lines.

To hide the yarn ends I sewed in a lining which matches perfectly with the knitting motive and the colors, don’t you think?
