Notes

The Pakul hat is generally worn in Pakistan and Afghanistan but also in other countries where the weather changes from very hot to very cold. They are usually made of wool. If you want to read more, please take a look at Wiki.
What made the hat various is that you can wear it as a cap and also as a hat depending on your needs.
In 2002 I was subscriber of the Dutch “Ornamente”-Magazine which now unfortunately is out of print. They showed a pattern for Pakuls and i made a bunch as Secret Sancta gifts.

The tops are crocheted, the rest is knitted top-down.

As you may see at my Grandma’s bust the Pakul is very stylish in any way. Unfortunately I only have bad pictures, see the time the Pakuls were manufactured.

Hm, now, as I regard the old pictures I think whether I should make some more. They are good for downstashing leftovers.
