Though I used two needle-sizes less than given for the yarn I would even make another downsizing to get a dense fabric.

I’d suggest to add a selvage stitch at the edge panels to have enough stitches for increasing stitches to work the border.
There was a wooden frame-rack in my stash which has not been used for another project. So I broadened the border to fit to the frame-rack and created a lifted-stitch-pattern surrounding the edge. The frame-rack was covered with stage molleton so the picture seems to be more vivid.
The picture sticks to the hook part of the velcro that is fixed with staples to the frame

I took pictures on a rainy afternoon and two hours later when the sun went down. The picture will be a present for my brother and his wife.
