Notes

The fairy-tale by the Brothers Grimm mostly titles “Froschkoenig” or Frog Prince, but the origin is named “Der eiserne Heinrich” or Iron Henry.
You may want to read the story in English here.
The story is very impressive and full of psycological metaphores but also very beloved by children, so I’ve chosen the toy and an illustrated book with the fairy-tale for my nephew as a birthday gift for a five year old.

The pattern is clever as HeidiBears’ always are, very distinctive, no question is left open. For me a little too detailed, because now I’m trained to work with African Flowers.
Surprisingly there is a knitted part working the frog’s legs out of knitted I-cords. When I flipped through the projects I found Scarletkitsune’s hint how to make a crocheted I-cord

I’ve sewn the parts together instead of crocheting because I’m way faster.
A good beginners project as well as consumptive for leftovers. The frog will look good in any colors.
