Notes

When I saw the sweater I knew immediately that this would be a flattering knitting for my reubenesque figure. I also like patterns which do not discribe the execution of every stitch.
But I missed a sketch of the silhouette of the pattern that shows all relevant measurements. I hate it when I have to do this for myself.
The pattern is otherwise easy to follow but I made some changes to give it a better fit.

  1. Forming shoulder seams with short-rows, which gives the neckline a better fit

  2. rounded neckline (not square) with rolling edge

  3. rounder sleeve-cap and smaller sleeves (not the 80’s form), deeper armhole to avoid drop-sleeves

  4. bustdarts with short-rows to avoid erratic edges in front and back.

  5. added length

I discovered something new: if you’ll take a look at the sleeve-lines you will notice that one line is straight, the other is bias. What is the reason?

One sleeve was knitted with 5 dps, the other with magic-loop-technique which I hated up to now.
The sleeve with the bias line was knitted with dpns which I like more. But now I am convinced to use magic-loop knitting this pattern. I will make some tests whether this shows up in other patterns, too.
After washing this phenomenon had been gone.
