Bedspread and cushion cover used up nearly all my sockyarn skeins, collected over the years. You can see prints from the year 2000 as well as new ones. Eva’s sofa blanket gave me the idea. She made it with her circular sock knitting machine.
I have also a CSM but with another cylinder which has more needles. The stripes would have been too wide, so I used my double-bed machine on which I worked tubes with 72 sts in the round.
The tubes were sewn together, and you get a reversible blanket which looks good on both sides.
Knitting one tube lasts about 80 minutes without an accident when all stitches fall off the machine. Sewing one seam in matress stitch needs an evening.
Now I only have an amount of 230g of sockyarn left. Unbelivable, isn’t it?
Meanwhile I have half a dozen other ideas how I could have designed the bedspread, but now it’s done and no cause to lament.
