Notes

Bugs came to us as a foster kitten before Christmas. We weren’t sure how The Cat would react to a newcomer. They got along well enough (no retaliatory potty accidents on Smudge’s part, and no real fighting between them) so in April we formally adopted her.

She has been such a blessing to this family - she’s so happy and hilarious that she raises everyone’s spirits. She never gets mad or moody, although sometimes she is too busy to be cuddled. She is also the funniest sleeper we’ve ever seen. All those odd poses in the photos - yes, she’s asleep (even the ones with her feet in the air and on the brown chair.) DD has dubbed it ‘Interpretive Sleeping.’ She loves us all, but my son is her special human and she watches longingly out the window when he is outside.

She makes us laugh every single day.

And she squeeks and chirps instead of meowing.

5/16/10 - further evidence of her love for my son. The morning after my daughter and I went to a fiber festival, she pulled 2 hand-dyed skeins out of a shopping bag and carried them down to his room one at a time, jumping up on his bed with a skein in her mouth. I guess she was giving him presents. At least she has good taste.
