3/16/12--She is DONE! It’s not perfect. I have a long way to go to get better at stockinette, but it’s mine and it’s done and love it unconditionally.

2/26/12--I’m in the home stretch. I’ve just begun the second ruffle. Sadly, one ruffle will look a lot better than the other because my ability to knit keeps improving. I’m debating whether to try and knock it out tomorrow. I suppose it’ll depend on what I need to get done.

7/17/11--I Spent a great day yesterday catching up on the DVR and knitting. The further I get with this project, the more excited I get about wearing it. I’ve finished the first lace chart and it looks great so far.

7/16/11--New techniques I’ve had to learn while working this pattern:
-provisional cast on
-purl through back loop
-cable cast on
-picot bind off
-slip slip knit
-knit through back loop
(also my first time working with a circular needle, although it IS only for one row)

7/10/11--I’m in love with this pattern enough to set aside my terror and attempt it. This will be my first time working from a (knitting) chart. I know I can do it; it’s just a matter of putting aside my fear and plugging away. This is too pretty a pattern to let that fear stand in my way. Besides, it’s a scarf, not brain surgery, right?
