Moirasmama saved me! It took me three tries to get this started.

I played yarn chicken and lost. I’m going to have to splice in the yellow to finish.

There are a gazillion ends. But I really enjoyed knitting this. So much so, I may do it again someday.

Points to remember:

  • Use Judy’s Magic cast on. It’s not so hard and it makes for a beautiful center.
  • The instructions say to knit to 1 stitch before the turn. Not right to the turn. Very important to make the stitch counts work up right in section 1.
  • The garter sections on top increase on every fourth row. I have sections where I increased every second row for a while, but at least I did it on both sides. I think this is the reason I ran short on my main color.

The pattern assumes you are reading it closely. Not all of us are up to the task. It would have helped to have an overview, or a schematic that showed direction of knitting.

The yarn is gorgeous of course. A muted rainbow, and very soft.
