Notes

I saw this motif on a socks and a pair of mitts, so I charted out my own version.

With 2.25mm needle cast on 80 sts.
Work lace for cuff to desired length.
Switch to color pattern and work 10 repeats of flower chains around. I am using two different colorways in this sock. I lost the ball bands, so sorry, can’t remember the colours.

Knit 1 row in white across 40 stitches.
Using smaller needles start heel stitch across the white stitches.

The plan is to do a regular heel flap, then decrease the gusset on the bottom of the foot to allow the pattern to continue uninterrupted around. Then a white toe.

Finished the first sock, and while the fit is fine, the cuff is too loose. Heartbreaking, but I can’t think of anything to do to fix it. For the second sock, I’m going to do the cuff in the smaller needle, then switch to the larger for the colour work on the leg.
