Started a new job and a new sweater on the same day.

I sorta swatched. I knit a bit in pattern, in the round, and got gauge. I know the beige yarn will bloom.

The story of the cream coloured yarn.

About 10 years ago I was visiting my mom and she showed the yarn to me. Someone she knew had a flock of sheep and had their fleeces processed into this yarn. My mom was commissioned to knit her a sweater and was permitted to keep the remaining yarn. I think it is Shetland wool, but if my mom told me I’ve forgotten. Mom passed away this spring so I can’t ask her. That’s why this project is so special.

Knit one round on 2.75mm needles. Decrease row:
K1 P1 K1 p2tog. 82 sts
Work 2inches

Do 4 rows double knitting
Tubular bind off.

I kinda wish I’d knit it just a bit bigger. Let’s see what a good blocking can do.

Ewh! The wash water was murky. I knew there was a lot of spinning oils in the beige yarn.
