The long rows become very dull. Decided to quit after the minimum effort required. I have plenty of yarn left for something else. This combo of colors is very striking.

Modified the end. After working a loop row, I knit 10 garter rows using the main color, then cast off in the contrast color. My contrast color is so vivid, I think this works better to keep the flow of the pattern.
