So much fun to be doing this sort of work again! Based on YarnJungle’s gloves
Modifications: entirely ribbed cuff with small border pattern. Sore thumb as in Charlene Schurch’s Marvelous Mittens which means I can use the same pattern on the front and back for entirely reversible gloves.
I’m using assorted sock yarns, most of which have no ball band. I like sock yarn for their crisp stitch definition, superior wear, and easy wash and wear.

Finished pinky: 11 stitches from first needle, cast on 1white, 2black and 1 white, then 12 sts from fourth needle. 27 sts total.
Picking up and Knitting around the hand for a few rows before starting the next finger.

Oh my. Much ripping and reknitting, but we have success tonight. Luke has a very slender hand, and his pinky is much lower on his hand then the rest of his fingers. So after the pinky, I worked five rounds on the rest of the hand.
I used 3 black between the white stripes on the ring finger. There are 30 sts on the ring finger.
Now starting the index finger, I’ve got 12 sts from the hand on front and back. Going to pick up 3 at the ring finger, then cast on 3.
Luke is super happy with these. He lets me try them on his hands as often as I want. After the last try on he says “the second one will go a lot faster right? Because you’ve got it figured out?” He’s in a hurry to get these! Makes a momma smile.

So each of the fingers are 30 sts. The thumb is 33.

First one is finished, all ends sewn down! The inside looks just as nice as the outside.
