Top down hat so I could use every last bit of handspun.

Using 5.5mm, cast on 8. Increased to 96 stitches. Knit it to just the tops of my ears (Luke and I have the same sized head). Then decreased 8, switched to the 5mm needle. Worked K2 P2 till I ran out of yarn. Tubular bind off.

Gauge was 4.5 sts to the inch. Luke’s head measures 23”. It fits loosely in the stockinette, but the ribbing is snug on the ears. And luke likes it so that’s the main thing!
