Notes

Making my version of a sock I like in the book “Glove and Sock Knitting Traditions in Varkava”.

July 2, 2019

Cast on 72 sts with 2.75mm needle
Change to 2.25mm needles and work K1P1 rib

July 3, 2019

Cuff is:
10 rows black
3 green
1 black
2 blue
1 black
3 green
10 black
That gives 30 rows which works out to 3 inches for me.

On last round, increase to 80 sts.

July 5, 2019

Work 3 repeats of pattern.
Break green and blue.
With black, knit 40 sts. Turn, slip 1, purl across decreasing 4 sts. (2 on each needle)
Work heel flap to 18 slip stitches and turn the heel.
Pick up 19 sts on each side of heel flap.

July 11, 2019

One plain row before starting the decreases.
Decrease every row starting at 12 sts on each needle.
