July 31 Bottom part up to armholes done, and one and a half sleeves finished. Not sure I have enough yarn to do the sleeve length according to the pattern, so I’m shortening them to sort of a T-shirt length. Should be able to start assembling for the yoke later today!

It’s a fun project, and my second one that uses lace patterning on both RS and WS rows. The first time around double sided lace drove me nuts, but this time I’m enjoying it.

There’s a fair bit of variation between the hanks of yarn I have, despite them being the same dye lot. I’m alternating balls every 2 rows to try to disguise the difference.

August 1 I messed up the lace a little, but it looks alright. I don’t have the two smaller lace columns next to the sleeves like the pattern shows. That’ll teach me to not pay attention, and watch TV when I should be counting. I think I’ll be able to fudge my way through and have everything turn out ok.

August 6 Will probably finish today! Button and buttonhole band are done, buttons are sewn on; just one armpit left to graft and the finishing neckline i-cord thingy.

I really like how this project came out; I think I’d like to do another one that’s uncropped and with longer sleeves some time.

August 17 Finished for 11 days now, and I still haven’t woven in ends, or taken FO pictures. I’m so cool.
