Made to match my swirl hat.

Divided what was left over from my swirl hat into two equal balls. Cast on 36 in main colour (white)
K3P1 ribbing for cuff.
For main mitten:
Knit 4 rows in contrast colour (rainbow)
Knit 1 Row main colour (white) then purl 2 rows.
Repeat.

Use technique to ensure jogless stripes.

Finish mitten with contrast colour doing a couple rows with one k2tog per side, then a couple rows with 2 k2tog on each side, then k1 k2tog pattern for a row then k2tog until reduced to 4 stitches. Lace end in to remaining stitches and secure.

Afterthought thumb, 8 stitches used plus 1 that I picked up before knitting the thumb in the round.
