Using my collection of gauge samples from other projects, joining them into a tree wrap for the inner courtyard at Extendicare Cobourg. With permission from the activity program.
January 16: checked out the tree options today. One larger tree, 31 inches, and three smaller trees not measured.
January 19: event will be on the calendar for Feb. 13. One tree in each of five courtyards.
January 20: started one final piece in blue and orange which will be stripes. Using a lace stitch for the heavier blue yarn. Using an extended double stitch for the orange yarn.
January 28: Found a narrow striped piece at a thrift store for $1. Will embellish this with smaller pieces.
February 7: completed the embellishments. Now I will make some more colourful pieces to be tied on by the residents next week.
