Using 5 mm hook and small leftover bits of wool for felted ornaments done in honeycomb, with a 6 part dc chainless foundation for 19 stitches, decrease in the centre of every second row to 5 stitches, decrease next row, make chain loop to length of tree and back (about 40-50 stitches) and attach to top of tree with slip stitch. Weave in ends, felt in washer/dryer, or wet the fabric and press with hot iron over a cloth.
Average weight 4 grams.

For acrylic and novelty yarn versions, use 4 mm de hook and work in regular yarn all FP, return pass in novelty yarn.

I will add buttons or beads to these. Could also work the beads in while crocheting.

Green variegated is an unlabelled yarn, will test it for felting.
