Off to Perth, Western Australia for a week with work 04-09 Aug 2013 teaching people how to use new equipment. Took the yarn with me to as it doesn’t take up much room in my suitcase. Forgot to take a scrap yarn to do the provisional cast on and then forgot how to do a provisional cast on anyway. So I got a scrap piece of yarn from my mother and cast on with two needles and then started knitting when I got to my accommodation for the week. Increased the width of the centre panel by one pattern repeat (12sts) for a total of 53sts cast on.
04 Aug 2013: Knitted about three inches.
05 Aug 2013: Knitted another two inches. Teaching is very tiring so I didn’t get much done.
09 Aug 2013: Have completed about 10 inches.
12 Aug 2013: Have completed up to about 15 inches.
27 Aug 2013: Completed the centre panel.
28 Aug 2013: Started the edging stitches.
29 Aug 2013: Finished the edging stitches. Wove in the yarn ends.
14 Feb 2014: Finished blocking ready for entry into the Canberra Royal Show 2014.
22 Feb 2014: Won First Prize and Reserve Champion at the Canberra Show.
I have entered this project in to the 2015 Royal Easter Show (Sydney).
13-14 Mar 2015: Reblocked before packing it up and driving from Canberra to Sydney to enter it into the show.
03 Apr 2015: The scarf is shown next to the pink lace. Unfortunately, it does not appear to have won anything.
