Round 18-??:
Working in both loops, HDC around (15 HDC) Work until leg is as long as you would like it to be.
I worked a shell stitch (5dc in one st, sl st in the next around) row in a single strand of white and a 3.5mm hook - in the remaining front loops of the top of the sock.
Body;
Stand legs together so that feet are both facing the same way, sc across 5sts from both legs to join them together, then work the body in rounds of hdc until it’s as long as you like, then work decreases on each side to form shoulder shaping. I worked a round or two of the skin colour, then changed to dress colour.
Finish off, stuff and stitch opening closed.
Shoe strap (make 2);
Using black - 2 strands held together and 5mm hook,
Ch 15, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, scc to end, finish off.
Stitch to shoe on inner side of leg and secure with a small black button on the outer side of the shoe.

Hands/Arms (make 2)

Round 5+: From here on up the arm, work in Amigurumi style - continuous rounds, no joining….1sc in ea st around until your arms is as long as you like.
Stuff and sew arms to body.

Dress;

Make a row of fddc long enough to fit snugly around the doll’s waist. Work rows of dc, increasing every other row until the skirt is flared enough, then just work dc rows until you are happy with the length.
Sew skirt to waist.
Make 2 puff sleeves - I used the pic from this website http://dressmakerscurve.com/2011/11/ as a guide for the shape to make….not as ‘puffed’ as I was wanting, but they’ll do!

Apron;
I worked a square using single strand of white and 4m hook. I then worked in dc’s for the skirt section, increasing every other row - to match the flair of the skirt.
Shoulder Straps - I fdsc 30, ch 1, 1sc in next 3sts, 2hdc in next 2sts, 3dc in ea of next 3sts, 3tr in ea of next 5sts, 3dc in ea of next 5sts, 2hdc in ea of next 2sts, 1sc in ea of next 9sts to end, finish off.

I made a petticoat of tulle to make Alice’s skirt stand out a little more than it was.
I made a long chain and threaded it through the top of Alice’s body - from one shoulder to the other (inside the apron straps) - long enough to tie the body so that it was hanging from my neck.
Blonde wig was purchased from Spotlight.
Make up by - Katya Kokov
Picture frame is papier mache over cardboard box with frame around it. Metallic effect is black paint, then burgundy and burnished copper highlights.
Pocket watch is an image from Google - resized and hand painted.
Wallpaper and floor coverings are both fabric.
I made a black curtain to completely cover me at the back and my head is poked through a hole in the ‘wall’ from the back - wig covered any small gaps adequately.
I wore black which gave the outfit a floating feel - it was quite freaky! :)
