Will add some proper pics when I have them

I used a wide piece of elastic - measured the size of my daughter’s waist, then cut the elastic to size and stitched the ends together using the sewing machine to form a waistband.

I crocheted over the elastic with long single crochet stitches until the whole band was mostly covered.

I worked 2ch, (1dc, 2ch) all of the way around, skipping stitches to form a grid pattern. I repeated these rows until I had 7 rounds.

This tutu (I started at the bottom hooking the tulle - easier to see what you’re doing!) is 1 round each of purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and 2 rounds of red at the top.
I cut the tulle into strips that were 2inches wide, used two pieces each time and a latch hook to hook them around the chains in the rounds….you can play with the length that you want.

It gives a full and fun tutu shape!
