Notes

Made from a vintage ‘Alan Dart’ pattern - originally published in a ‘Womans’ Weekly’ magazine as a lift-out pattern booklet called ‘Knitted Tales of Beatrix Potter’ - Sept 1994.

I am not able to freely share this pattern as it is still under copyright.

From www.alandart.co.uk ;

“Please note that patterns of licensed characters are not available for downloading. For legal reasons, these could only appear once, either in a magazine feature or as a pattern leaflet, and since they are out of print and the licenses have expired these patterns are unavailable, so the only way you will now be able to obtain these licensed character patterns is if you can find original leaflets or magazine tear sheets being offered for sale. Please do not buy duplicated versions of these patterns because this is illegal, and they not only infringe Alan’s copyright but also violate the rights of the creators of the characters in question”.

Sadly, for copyright reasons, the Peter Rabbit knitting collection pattern is no longer available unless you’re able to find a copy on eBay or Etsy (worth watching, they do pop up from time to time).

For my Jemima;

I crocheted the front pieces of the bonnet together, then worked a row of reverse single crochet to give the front of the bonnet a nicer finished edge.

Water drop embellishments.
I couldn’t get the ‘Swiss Darning’ patterns to either look right nor be in the correct position on Jemima’s shawl, so I ended up crocheting applique replacements.
2.5mm hook and sky blue yarn (same as bonnet) - U.S. Terms
