This rainbow is intended to go onto a t-shirt as an applique or have chains added to it and a band across the bottom - with chains for tying - to turn it into a halter top.

You can include more colours if you like….just keep increasing as you go. Every fifth row, I didn’t increase.

To make a smaller rainbow, replace hdc’s with sc’s.
To go bigger, replace hdc’s with dc’s, or add more rows.

The halter top pictured was made with dc’s.
In white, I made a chain long enough for tying, then increased one st per row working in the back loops only to make a ribbed band until I had 7 stitches (hdc or dc). I made the white piece slightly wider than the base of the rainbow piece, then decreased one st per row until 1st remained to work the tying chain for the other side of the halter top - then sewed this piece to the base of the rainbow. I then added two lengths of chains (red) to tie at the neck.
