For the base of the UFO, I worked Rnd 7 in the back loops only and Rnd 9 in the front loops only.

I had to make the ‘Pod Door’ a few rounds longer to accommodate my alien’s big head!

I added a plastic disc inside the base so that the UFO will sit flat. I worked a row of stitching from Rnd 21 through to Rnd 25 - working up and down behind the BLO rounds - to make the edge that you add sequins to stand out a little more as a proper edging. Also added a round of sequins to the edge of the base.
