This project turned out to become my first sweater design. Knitpicks has published the pattern in their 2013 collection “Reclaimed”. It has small differences from this project.

Sweater has about 6 inches of negative ease. Any looser than that and it will not accent the waist as nicely.

I kept thinking of honeycombs when I saw this yarn, but I couldn’t decide which pattern I liked best, so I decided to throw a bunch of textures together and make my own pattern. It took me much knitting and much ripping out before I got combinations and proportions and the fit that I was happy with. But all the hard work was worth it, as I’m thrilled with the result.
