Start with blue yarn.

Cast on 46 stitches. Join first and last for 45 total. 15 on first needle, 15 second, 15 third.

row 1: k4, p1 to end.
row 2: k4, p1, k1, p2k, k1, p2 to end.
row 3: cable 4, p1, k4, p1

Repeat rows 1 and 2, and cable every 6th row.

After 5th cable row, start thumb increase. Increase every other row until there are 12 thumb gusset stitches. continue pattern for 5 more rows.

In the 6th row, switch to black and put the thumb gusset stitches on waste yarn and cast on one stitch.

Cable 3 more times, continue pattern in two more rows, then bind off on the next row.

With black yarn, Continue pattern on thumb without cable for 6 rows, bind off on 7th row.

Same for both hands.
