With size 4 needle, Cast on 39 st, k first and last together for a total of 38 st.

All k sts in rib are knit in back of stitch.

Work in rib pattern for 32 rows.

Row 39: with size 8 needles increase every stitch with k in front and back of each stitch.

Row 40-47: k all stitches

Row 48: with size 4 needles k2 together for whole row.

Rows 49-50: knit in rib pattern

Row 51: with scrap yarn, knit in pattern first 7 rows, then place them back on left hand needle and stitch in pattern (this will make the thumb)

Row 52: with size 8 needles, increase in each st by knitting in front and back of each st.

Row 53-59: knit all stitches

Row 60: with size 4 needles, knit 2 st together for whole row.

Row 61-66: knit in rib pattern

Row 67: bind off

Thumb: pick up stitches from waste yarn. Add a stitch at each edge. Knit in rib pattern for 7 rows. Bind off on 8th row.
