I started knitting the large version and learned that it is indeed very large - I would only recommend this size for a large man.

I ended up knitting the small size and it was perfect for my husband - so they still tend to be on the large size.

I would recommend checking length throughout as pattern repeats are very long and you may decide to only do half repeats to reach your desired length
