The finish project turned out beautiful, but I had a bit of trouble with the directions. Finally made a copy of the back repeat and taped it along the six stitch column to the left of the first increase so I could read it clear across and not have to jump around. It would have been helpful to know that when you start the second 40 row repeat you now have two pattern repeats on the right and left fronts and three on the back. For the shawlette the last 8 rows have three repeats on the right and left fronts, and five on the back. I also puzzled over the edging until I read someone else’s comments that you are really just working the next stitches in reference to the live stitches. Work four stitches as described and then turn the work for the next row. My daughter is modeling and the bride seemed to genuinely love it when she opened the gift.
