I found this wonderful group called “Knit Like A Latvian” that told about the book Mittens of Latvia which I promptly ordered. This is my first attempt at these mittens. The group discussions really helped me as I was trying to figure everything out. I reduced the stitches to 80 on the main pattern and used some other ideas in the book for the cuffs. I would love to try some of the mittens that use more than two colors in a row, sure wished I had someone to sit next to me to show me how they accomplish that feat! They feel so warm and cozy on my hands, I can hardly wait to try knitting another pair.
