Made from 100% suri alpaca yarn from B I Bar Ranch, so it is warm, stretchy, plush, durable, and hypoallergenic. Wear it over a coat or under a coat or with no coat at all. Special shaping design elements including notches allow the capelet to hug the shoulders without restricting movement. The drawstring helps to keep the wind out, and the roomy hood is comfortable even over big heads and big hair!

Inspired by Vashti Braha’s Thaxton Hooded Cowl using a bulky weight yarn and M hook with modifications to stitch and row counts and short rows. Drawstring is an I-cord.

I wanted it to drape further down over the shoulders than the original Thaxton Hooded Cowl and am very pleased at how this turned out!
