I have wanted to make myself a cashmere jumper for years, but have never been able to justify the expense. However, having seen this pattern - I can no longer resist as I think it will be perfect for my Tesoro Light cashmere. So, anyway, I started by working the tension square which came out at 18/23 instead of 16/22 so rather than size up the needle I am knitting a size larger than I need. The reason being that I don’t want it to be so loose-knit that you can see through it. Using cashmere will mean that this jumper will be both incredibly soft and very warm, but if it’s too loose then it wont serve either purpose as it will be too warm for the summer and not warm enough for the winter.

Anyway, so - here goes…

I have just finished this jumper and it is even more delicious than I could have imagined… It is SO soft and snuggly and I can’t wait to wear it. The photos dont do it justice and despite how it looks - the arms are not different lengths. Because I changed the pattern so much I ended up having to unpick and re-work quite a few times to get it right but I am glad that I took the extra time and effort. I LOVE IT! I also used exactly 8 balls - I only just had enough left to sew it up but luckily had left long tails at each change
