Jan 13th 2013 Finished! I have no idea why it took me this long to knit two sleeves, as they practically zoomed by when I sat down and knitted. I’m really happy with the finished result and overjoyed with how the clasps look. Here’s to the hope that it will be well worn by the wee girl :)

Nov 12th 2012: I finished the body (yup, changed my mind and decided I would have enough yarn). It’s a wonderful knit and the cable is really fun. I’ve started the first sleeve which is very cute.
I’m going to buy Norwegian style pewter clasps to use as closures instead of the one in the directions.

So far, so fun! I’ve learned a new cast-on (Turkish), which works beautifully.
I’ve tried about 4 different increases in a purl stockinette… and ended up with a p1f&b (purl in front and back of the same stitch), because that one gives (me) the neatest result - I had trouble with the increases in the pattern giving me holes near the raglan…

I’m worried about the amount of yarn I have. The Callilope is one of my oldest stash yarns, bought in Greymouth, NZ, back in November 2006, so I’m pretty sure it will be impossible to get more. Therefore, I’ve decided to knit the hood and chest and then stop after the i-cord. Then knit the sleeves. That way I can shorten the skirt if I seem to be close to running out. Wish me luck!
