Notes

My own pattern.

Description of the socks:
You need only one 50 g-skein sock yarn and some scrap yarn to knit these plain footies. The heel is my variation of the “Strong heel”, where gusset and heel are knitted at the same time, followed by a heel turn. There is no need of picking up stitches with this type of heel, and it fits a high arch. The heel increases are knit on every side of the rib section.
Because of the low angle of the heel, the socks are a bit lower on back than in front if you don’t knit a short row section somewhere. Therefore, I made a short row part in the beginning of cuff, without wraps.
The original heel was created and presented for the first time by Gerdine Crawford-Strong in Knitter’s Magazine, Fall 2003.

Thanks til mimouna for testknitting!
