Notes

I made a sister for Eyvind. I used the same pattern as for Eyvind, with small modifications. All pieces are knitted in rounds. The clothes are designed by me, to fit this doll.

The Body is made a bit smaller around the waist.
Legs: The feet are a bit smaller, and the leg 1 st tighter.
Hands are a bit smaller, but not much. Rest of arm is worked as described in pattern.

Pictures:

(15-16) Eline in the snow
Eline: “Mom, can I play in the snow now?”
Mom: “Have you got dressed for the cold, with your new warm top under the shrug?”
Eline: “Yes, Mom! Can I go now?”
Mom: “Allright then!”

(12-14) Eline is finished.
Eline: “I’ve got a shrug! Can you see it? Now I can get out in the snow and play!”
Mom: “Just wait until tomorrow… You have to go to bed, it’s late in the evening…!”

(10+11) Eline and Eyvind together
Eyvind: “Mom, how long must we sit here?”
Mom: “Smile, so I can get a picture of you!” :)

(9) Finished hair B:
Little sister: “Hi, I’m Eline. I’m a good girl. I hope you all like me too… But it’s cold here in the snow. I hope that Mom will knit me an arm warmer…”

(8) Finished hair A:
Little sister: “Who is the girl in the mirror?”
Mom: “It’s you.”
Little sister: “Me? With sooo much hair?”
Mom. “The hair grew last night. And now you are a big girl, and you got a name too.”
Little sister: “A name? Can I eat it?”
Mom (laughing): “No, no, you can’t eat it! Your name is Eline. I can call you by name, and you will come.”
Little sister: “A name… Eline… I like it.”

(7) Stolen hair:
Little sister: “I want my hair back! Mom made it to me!”
Little brother: “No, it’s mine.”
Mom: “Children, be kind to each other! Eyvind, leave your little sister alone and give her hair back!”

(6) Finished dress (B):
Little sister: “I am pretty, I’m so pretty…”

(5) Finished dress (A):
Little brother: “Hey! Can’t you just relax?”
Little sister: “No!!! I’m so happy! My dress is finished!”

(4) Making the dress (my own pattern):
Little sister: “I found something funny! Look at me! Is it a hat?”
Big brother: “Mom is knitting a dress, but it isn’t finished yet!”
Little sister: “Can I remove these pointed metal thingies?”
Big brother: “No, absolutely not! If you do, Mom has to start from the beginning again…”
Little sister: “Hahaha…”

(3) Clue 2 is ready for little sister!
Today she was awakening, looking around. “Oh, it’s so cold here!” she cried when seeing all the snow. Big brother took her in his arms and said: “Don’t be afraid, I will take care of you!” He is learning to be kind. Maybe she will get some cookies soon…

(2) Cookies:
It might be that Eyvind will become a nice big brother - but he has to learn… Can you believe it? Today he said to his little sister: “No arms, no mouth, no cookies…” And then he ate all the cookies alone!!!

(1) The beginning: Body and legs. Eyvind is looking at his little sister coming to life.

May 2021: new legs made. Needle 3.5 mm.
