Yarn amount when starting (needle 4 mm):
Brick red 3845: (1) 52 + (2) 11 g
Light pink 4023: (1) 20 + (2) 51 g (contrast stripe)
White 1002: leftovers 17 + 9 + 3 g = 29 g + another dye lot 10+2 g (snowflakes)

Remaining after working the hat before doing the brim:
Brick red 3845: (1) 14 g. Used so far: 38 g.
Light pink 4023: (1) 13 g. Used total: 7 g.
White 1002: 2 g of skein (2). Used total: 24 g.

Used for brim needle 3.5 mm):
Brick red 3845: Used total: 60 g. 3 g left.

Used total:
Brick red: 60 g
Light pink: 7 g
White: 24 g

Project notes:

• CO 96 sts with needle 4, work 3 repeats
• 1x1 rib (instead of 2x2 rib)
• I made the rib extra long (7,5 cm from purl round), so that it can be folded some cm below the purl rnd, if needed.
• Tubular BO (sewn).
• The brim was doubled and sewn to the back of the hat for some cm.

If making next time…
…I considered to knit some rnds after picking up sts from CO edge, before working the purl rnd + rib. Reason: the folded edge as written is too near the colorwork, and the contrast yarn shows when folding up the brim at the purl rnd. But my solution with the doubled and sewn brim to the back does work great, and I may use it again.
