If I can knit socks two at a time on the same needles, why not shawls?!

I knit the chart 2-up (both the lilac and blue) on a Signature 47” needle, then worked on each one separately. Talk about an efficient way to make multiples! :)

My mods for the lilac:

1. Slipped first stitch of each row for a smooth edge. Repeated rows 35-38 a few times (didn’t count) but added more for the lilac than the blue. I wanted this one to be more wide than deep.

2. Added beads … and then few more beads!

3. Did 3 stitches before the turn but did German short rows this time. My new favorite method! I’m so grateful to all those knitters who post fantastic tutorials on You Tube! Also did an eyelet i-cord bindoff as shown here.

Now to weave ends, soak, block and take photographs …

This turned out beautifully. I’m really tickled. The true color is shown in the finished project pics. The skein image is a victim of my bipolar camera. Some days things are too bright, some days not so much. This turned out beautifully. Now to figure out which of my purple-loving friends gets this one.
