Notes

I’m in love with the simplicity of this pattern - it’s perfect for the crazy-hectic-busy-stressful phase I currently call “my life.” Garter stitching adds a bit of peaceful tranquility while the short rows add interest. Two thumbs up! The Mal sock is quite lovely also.

My only mod so far is to slip the first stitch of each row (wyif). I just hate a regularly knitted edge! When making this again, I will increase the border and add beads for weight and a touch of bling.

November 15: Now on the second skein. I absolutely love this pattern and this yarn. Fabulous combination.

November 20: Decided to add another short row section knowing I’d sacrifice some of the eyelet border but the extra size will be worth it.

November 24: Finally finished binding off using Jeny’s super stretchy method. The piece is pretty darn fabulous. Will double-check for mistakes, soak and block!

April 30: I cannot believe that this piece has been finished and I only managed to block the smallest corner of the shawl. What is wrong with me?! Brought the steamer and blocking boards to work to utilize my ginormous conference room table. I declare that this Linebreak will be finished today! Thanks to Z for being my model.
