March 25: I bought this yarn last weekend and just had to get something made before the weather turns too warm to wear alpaca! The yarn is fabulous to work with, and has such a lovely array of jewel-toned colors.

BTW: I did modify the end of the pattern a bit by ending it a few rows early; doing a knitted BO (2tog, k1, back to left, 2tog, etc.) and then adding a short crochet edge (3 chains each edge stitch) to give it a little “something” different.
