I ended up doing a plain ribbed bit at the neck rather than the turreted collar since I felt that the collar was very dated while the rest of the sweater is not. I like vintage style, but this would have stood out too much to modern eyes so I probably wouldn’t have worn it much. A 1” section of ribbing at the neck was on another pattern I found of the same era so I used it instead.
