I altered the pattern to have a flat bottom, which I used plastic canvas on to make it more waterproof.

Red Heart Super Saver is the sturdiest yarn around for a preschooler bookbag. Used Aran as the main color and added stripes around the top and the bottom to coordinate with the characters’ colors.

Instead of one strap, I made two and altered the length to fit a preschooler’s back (for a backpack).
