5/16 I keep panicking thinking I may be knitting a size too big. I wish there was more detail in the diagram, maybe a measurement across the shoulders would be helpful?

Explitives. I only now find skip8’s project notes. Why do I not look for things like this?!?!? Her edges really are way nicer. And now I notice that where I picked up to do the end of the bottom edging does all look…well…weird. Luckily I haven’t put too much time into this, and the edging was fun and fast. Maybe I’ll rip out and actually do a gauge swatch? Whatwhat??? That way I’ll stop stressing over if I’ve made the proper size.

5/17 PEOPLE READ NOTES AND YOUR PATTERN BEFORE YOU START. Do as I say, not as I do. See blog post from today for my deep thoughts on this project. When I re-cast on, instead of the backwards-loop-caston-then-pick-up-the-bumps (which totally would’ve worked if there wasn’t lace involved on the first row), I did a judy’s magic cast on (casting on 30 stitches total) and transferred one side to a stitch holder. Super easy.

5/26 at 1230 this morning I completed picking up the stitches for the body of the sweater. YAY. Successful, looks nice, I like how my added-on edges joined, it’s all good. It’s. All. Good.

6/24 Finished the main knitting today, only lack the sleeves. And man, it sure isn’t hanging on me the way it does on the model. Planning on blocking this baby to within an inch of her life, then we’ll see where we stand!
