I never believed I could do colorwork. However, at SSK I took Kristen Kapur’s colorwork class and she was so patient with me although I was not a very good student.Despite that, Stephanie of Knitting Samuari Plus 1 Podcast tried to cheer me on with her motivational chant during class of “Go Marian go” to no avail. MemphisHolli struggled with me in class, but went on to do fabulous fairisle work which stirred my competitive urges. So finally after a million and one You Tube visits and searching for the perfect pattern…I have begun! I love it! My floats look lovely. And Kathleen’s words (from the wonderful Village Knitter) stay in my head “My mom couldn’t do fairisle the first time she tried…now she loves it.” YAY! me too!

Enough about me, now for the pattern: so easy. It’s great for a beginner! And I love the yarn, which Kathleen helped me pick out while Ann (aka ‘the pretty one’) looked on. P.S. Kathleen, Ann made me write that!
