Notes

A sweet wee scarf that reminds me of Queen Anne’s lace. I think this scarf would be lovely in white or cream.

I started out with a 2.75 needle, but the scarf seemed so small, so I began again with a larger needle, although I love the compact look of the smaller version. I didn’t rip it out, so I may do a Russian join and continue, because the fine version does look so much like Queen Anne’s Lace.

August 27/14. Because I wasn’t loving the yarn I was using, I changed it to Malabrigo. The striking deep blue makes my heart sing!
Even though I’ve never done so before, on this pattern, I am following the written instructions because it flows well and it is so easy to follow.

Aug 28/14. BO middle section using Icelandic BO. I picked up the idea from heartandhand’s notes. It’s a perfect fit for this scarf, and, no doubt, I will use for other projects.

Sept 28/14 I had originally opted for the smallest scarf, but changed my mind to the largest version.
Beginning the right tie.
Right tie rows 1-16 (Chart 3A) repeated a total of 4 times.

Sept 29/14 Started left tie. After knitting with lace yarn, this yarn, although it’s a fingering weight, seems so heavy. I can’t wait to see how this blocks!

October 5/14 Ready to block! Enough yarn left to use for sock heels or tops. Obviously, a two toned pair of socks is somewhere in my future.
