Notes

Different beginning for this shawl. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, but that, for me, is what makes knitting interesting.

I wanted something warm for fall and winter, and this shawl will be perfect for fall and cozy enough to challenge the January chill.
Sept 1/13 I’ve decided to make this shawl a bit larger, but I may need to order more yarn.

Dec 18/13 Although I wasn’t able to buy the same dye lot, I cannot see any difference in the colour of the yarn even in sunlight. Yes!
Waiting creates fondness, I reckon, and I am so looking forward to being wrapped in this warm shawl with I hope if I have enough yarn left a matching hat.

Finished Dimensions: 58 3/4 inches wide ~ 29” depth.
Navy blue appears to be difficult to photograph. It’s a nice shawl very warm and practical.

For added versatility, you can fold the shawl in halves that meet; then wrap the shawl around your neck with a twist here and there and voila the shawl morphs into a great cowl.
