• I wanted to knit a pullover just like Ayako’s, so used the same yarn, Dream in Color Classy, Tokyo Creme. (For the contrast color, I used cheaper yarn purchased at a local store.) According to Ayako’s advice, I alternated skeins (for the first time -- I had never used hand dyed yarn before), which really helped to make a better result.

• For short rows, I used Japanese Short Rows.

• Used JPN 6 (3.9mm), JPN 7 (4.2mm), JPN 8 (4.5mm), and JPN 5 (3.6mm) (for pockets) needles.

• For the latter part of the quilt section, I used JPN 8, but -- now I’ve noticed -- I should have used JPN 9, then I could have avoided reworking. In fact, I had to re-knit the quilt section several times to achieve the right size. It was the hardest part for me in this project. It may have been, in part, a problem of the needle size.

• I re-knitted a sleeve, too, because when I knitted it up to the Horizontal Braid and tried it on, I found it a bit too big for my arm. I didn’t change the stitch count, but just re-knitted it more tightly. Also, I decided not to change to a bigger needle for the braid (just for sleeves. For the body braid, I changed to a bigger needle).

• Regarding the braid, I didn’t follow the instruction, but knitted as Ayako and some other people did using only the contrast color.

キルトセクションがなかなかきれいに編めず苦労しました。
あと、カセを交互に使うのに、どういう組み合わせで配置するのがいいか悩みました（高い毛糸なのでぎりぎりにしか買ってなかった！）
最終的にステキなセーターが編めました -- でも、もう手染めの糸はめんどくさいから使いたくない～^^;
