I had to make 8 swatches (garter, stockinette, ribbing, moss, cables, and three different increase/decrease combos) and a beginner project for the Craft Yarn Council Certified Instructor Program in Knitting class at FIT from February 24-26, 2012.

I used stash yarn that I bought at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio with a Groupon last August (blog post here). I used my trusty Bryson Distributing Rosewood needles, purchased at Downtown Yarns.

I mailed in my teaching hours the following week. Now I’m just waiting to hear back about my certification!

Becoming a Certified Knitting Instructor and Teacher has been one of my craft goals for about a year, so I consider this project to be one for myself!
