Back in 2007, after I completed the CYC Certified Instructors Program in crochet but before I actually started teaching, I made a giant three ring binder with different samples for potential classes. I made a ton of granny squares with scrap yarn, including this one. I even made multiples of the same block using different hook sizes to demonstrate gauge. This block was been sitting dormant in a binder for a while, so I decided to liberate it for charity.

I pulled out the last few rows so it could be closer to 6”, and then I finished it off with one round of single crochet until it was the right size.

This block used approximately 32 yards of yarn.
