I made this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas 2009. She saw me knitting a different shawl, and expressed her admiration, and how much she’d love to have one. I never told her I was making it.

I actually started pretty late in the year because it took me some time to find the exact shade of pink I thought she’d like, and the beads to match. I don’t usually finish shawls that quickly, but I guess having a deadline helped. I finished the blocking with only days to spare!

She was totally surprised, and absolutely loved it.

Notice the delicate little beads, which she also specified. They’re only on the ends.

I never did remember what kind of yarn it was.
